Hope Schools Challenge

‘Expressing HOPE in your community’

During 2008 Youth for Christ in partnership with many others are looking to challenge every High School across the UK to bring HOPE to their area. Big Idea but how does it work?

The Big Dream

Every school in the country is being challenged to do something to change their town and impact the lives of other less fortunate.

As part of the schools strategy for Hope 2008, schools are being invited to ‘Express Hope in their Community’ as part of a year long challenge. Using a series of lessons and a DVD resource, called Express Community through Schools, young people are being encouraged to understand the needs of their community and work to meet those needs with a specific project that they undertake and evaluate.

How would it be assessed?

Schools are asked to create a 3-5 minute video diary of their project which they can post on the website. These videos will be used to assess and record the great work done during the year.

Each project will be assessed on the following criteria:

All of the above must be demonstrated in the video that is submitted.

Why not take this idea to a secondary school near you or contact YFC to get this resource? Get involved in the Hope Schools Challenge... Express HOPE in your Community!
