Summer mission trips 2010

Joint YFC Northern Ireland and YFC Ireland mission 2010:  www.projectthirtytwo.com

In 2009, teams went on short-term mission to  Antigua, Brazil, Uganda, Cape Town, Romania and Poland. See the videos below for details of Team Uganda 2009!

“Going to Antigua was amazing and challenging. I would recommend doing a summer mission to anyone. Not only to meet great people but to learn more about yourself and God. I’ve learnt to rely on God more now that I’m back. However many barriers you need to break, trust God it is worth it. You will meet some incredible people of God and make some life-long friends.”

“I travelled for 4 Days to build a toilet in Southern Romania. Most of my friends thought it was a joke but it is surprising how something that I have always taken for granted can transform somebody’s life and contribute to the mission and kingdom of God. We raised £1500 and built a bathroom and kitchen which will enable a pastor and his family to continue to grow three Church plants in a part of Romania where there are few Christians.”

Berni Comissiong – Director of Camberley YFC

“I heard about the opportunity to go to South Africa during a gap year with Youth for Christ called yfcone. Throughout the year God really grew my passion for youth work and revealed it was my calling. I really felt that I wanted to experience youth work in a different culture and wanted to use my passions to serve God in South Africa. I felt a real peace about going and God provided everything I needed in an amazing way. The trip was indescribable. The only words I can use are amazing, inspiring, life changing and overwhelming, and even those don’t do it justice. I learnt so much about the South African culture, about God and about myself. I saw God touch so many lives, by using us out of our comfort zones. Some of the things I saw and experienced will stay with me forever.”
