New Centre - Tunbridge Wells YFC launched
On February 6th Tunbridge Wells YFC was officially launched as a new Youth for Christ Local Centre. Gavin Calver spoke at the ceremony and Luke Bacon, Director of the Centre said “Please join us in giving thanks to God for the great time we had on Saturday evening at our launch event. It was wonderful to be joined by so many people from numerous churches across Tunbridge Wells as well as friends from other parts of the YFC family. We thank God for the number of people who committed to partnering with us through prayer, giving and volunteering.”
Liz Etherton, Local Ministries Senior Manager, also attended and had this to say following the event. “The launch of TYFC brought together individuals and Churches from across Tunbridge Wells with a common desire to build on the work already being done with young people as well as developing new initiative to share good news with every young person in the area. On the night the new Centre signed up 22 new prayer supporters, increased financial support and 6 people expressed interest in volunteering with the TYFC team. We look forward to seeing this new Centre grow in partnership with projects, individuals and churches in the local area.”
