A fresh vision, a fresh strategy
Gavin Calver, National Director, has announced a new 3 year strategy for Youth for Christ in line with his vision to see us take the good news relevantly to 1 million young people each month. Currently we estimate that we meet 300,000 a month. But if we can reach 1 in 7 – or 15% - statistics indicate that an entire generation can be changed. So our 4 strategic aims are to:
- Increase our local presence
- Impact the education of young people
- People development
- Providing new experiences
To do this we have had a small re-structure so emphasis is on growth through local centres and new expressions of youth ministry in new communities. We long to see relevant expressions of Christian youth ministry in every city, town and village across Britain.
This re-structure has re-defined some job roles and a couple of people have sadly been made redundant. We are grateful to God however for the continued financial provision for our ministry to continue to grow, and although re-structure can be challenging in the short term it is essential for us to fulfil our new strategy and to grow so we can reach many more young people with the good news of Jesus Christ. :
