Warrington YFC - SOAR @: SMITHS

The concept for Soar @ Smiths was birthed in September 05 when Steve Biltawi (Director of WYFC) was out prayer walking and sensed strongly that God wanted him to go to Mr Smiths nightclub. On arriving at the building he found the door open – so he went in ...

Importing Oxygen from around the world!

Oxygen, Kingston YFC was established in 2001 by 20 churches across Kingston Borough who came together with the support of the local youth service and other youth work providers to establish a much needed work that aimed to serve and build relationships with its young people. Kingston is hosting an international team of youthworkers as the project has welcomed five young people from five different countries and three continents to work with the Oxygen project ...

Bath YFC

If I have learnt one thing in the time that I have been working with Bath Youth for Christ, it is this: Neither I or the team can take the good news relevantly to every young person in Bath on our own.

Lee Jennings, Wirral YFC

This is the story of a year 13 girl that we work with in Wallasey. She was part of our E:Merge (EQ) course, and this year has been a year where she has developed from a shy school girl into a hardcore, life changing evangelist!

Moving on up!

I was starting my second year as a volunteer with YFC, and re-launching a youth club with Rock Solid material in a church I had not previously worked with. A member of the church spoke to me, concerned her daughter might drift away from the church and from God as she was moving up to secondary school and starting her GCSEs, a key time in the life of many young people.

Neighbours, everybody needs good neighbours…….

Tina and I moved to Kenilworth over 5 years ago to take up our role as Co-Directors of Kenilworth Youth for Christ and found ourselves living opposite to a young girl called Vicky. Vicky is a really nice girl, friendly and chatty. She came along to our local secondary school lunchtime club, S-Cape and to ASK, our After School Club along with her friends who just happened to be Christians.

The Power of the Holy Spirit

Michael had been attending Gillingham YFC`s drop-in for about 4 years, always adamant that Jesus wasn’t real, that we were all nuts, and that Christianity wasn’t for him. Over a period of time one of our youth workers got alongside him, and loved him for who he was ...

Patient, persistent prayer pulls prodigals!

Isn’t it amazing the impact Jesus can have in a short space of time. Malcolm Smith first met Sarah during his first week working for Gillingham YFC. She was anorexic, had low self esteem, a broken family, was drinking lots and experimenting with drugs. And yet just 4 months later she said Yes to Jesus.

From Taunton with love

Raising £22,500 is no small task. And neither is taking a group of 14-18 year olds out to Nairobi. It all began two years ago when we started discussions with Scripture Union to raise funds for a SoapBox Trust project in Kibera, Nirobi where the current school will soon be demolished because of new building regulations - and as it’s on a slum they won’t be entitled to compensation.

Sponsored Marathon

Youth for Christ have needed a new office and training centre for many years. We have finally aquired a facility that is in the process of being built. To this end four of our team (Dave & Liz Newton, Barry Mason, Simeon Whiting & Gavin Calver) are running the Dublin Marathon (www.dublincitymarathon.ie) in October. We would love you to stand with us in raising the required funds for this building by sponsoring these five brave runners.

Solent Rocks!

"So what are we gonna do that’s different from what we normally do" was the question we started with.
