Nottingham YFC Impacts Community through Mission

Young people from Nottingham are impacting communities across the UK through eq: missions.  On each mission weekend young people travel to a location somewhere in the UK and make a difference in a community through various activities such as witnessing on the streets, washing cars, picking up litter and taking part in youth events.  Our latest mission weekend took place in Orford in Warrington, working with Warrington YfC and Bethel Free Church in Orford. God moves as YFC staff, speakers and teams engage with young people at Spring Harvest 2011

YFC teams, staff and speakers have had a fantastic time at Spring Harvest this year and witnessed God do some absolutely amazing things in the lives of young people!  During one of the weeks alone, over a hundred young people surrendered their lives to Christ and and many young people left the event with a passion for Him, His Word and His world.  Click here for more.

Crux Media School Mission

Recently Crux Media; YFC's Film Team spent a week working in Hilbre High school and had a great time with 19 lads who were part of an intervention project.  On the week the team got to know the young people, hear their stories and answer their questions about Christianity.  Using recording equiment Crux Media encourage young people to think about their lives as they write, direct, act and film stories about hope, trust and respect based on their own experiences.  Click here for more.

Youth for Christ Challenges negative youth stereotypes

Youth for Christ has spoken of the need to challenge some of the negative stereotypes of young people today Its comments come after a YouGov poll found that a large proportion of adults, 46%, felt young people were being portrayed too negatively in the media. Contrary to negative perceptions of young people, YFC say young people are full of "great potential" and should be seen as a "benefit" to society. Severn Valley YFC Launched

Recently a new Youth Organisation affiliated to British YFC and run by members drawn from local churches was launched in Severn Valley. In a climate of cut backs to many services, Severn Valley YFC want to ensure that young people have new opportunities to meet together and have fun in a safe environment and support existing Youth Clubs and have opened new Youth Cafes in the Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley area..
