Summer 2012 Outreach
This is YFC’s BIG INVITATION for you to join us in the summer of 2012!
For the third time in our history, London is hosting the Olympic Games (previous games were hosted by the UK in 1908 and 1948) so together, let’s make 2012 a memorable summer!
It’s exciting to know that 205 nations are expected to take part in 300 events at the Olympic Games (27 July – 12 August) and 147 nations are participating in the Paralympic Games (29 August – 9 September). The 70-day torch relay has been announced and you can see the locations on http://www.london2012.com
Youth for Christ is working alongside churches, other Christian organisations and partners in a unique opportunity to reach out to thousands of people in London and other cities, taking the Good News of Jesus to young people in our neighbourhoods and from all over the world. Mission teams will be involved in activities such as sport, creative arts, youth and children’s programmes, big screen events and practical work during 10-day missions which will include some pre-mission training and end of week celebrations. YFC is also involved in producing great resources to be used during the outreach work.
