New National Director at Youth for Christ
Today Roy Crowne announced to staff that Gavin Calver would succeed him as YFC’s new National Director, taking up his new appointment on the 1st April 2009. This is an exciting time of change for everyone in YFC, both at a national and local level – where so much of our face-to-face youthwork takes place through the work of Local Centres.

For 10 Sunday nights in the autumn, a Cambridge Starbucks store witnessed queues of young people turning up for 'Exploration Station' - an innovative presentation of the Christian message in a cafe environment.
Community learns to listen as it mentors young people
North Staffs Youth for Christ is helping young people to realise their potential and understand their own personal worth through its ‘Eavesdrop’ initiative. The project trains volunteers from the community to support and encourage local young people who are struggling in their lives through listening and mentoring them.

Number of young people at Fort Rocky continues to climb!
The last two years have seen unprecedented numbers of young people attend Fort Rocky, Youth for Christ’s evangelistic outdoor activity weekend. In 2007 and 2008, more young people have come to this amazing residential than ever before – in all the 18 years we have been running it.
