Roy Crowne steps down as National Director of Youth for Christ

He said, “After 12 years as National Director, I feel the time is right for me to move on from this role. One of the most challenging decisions any leader has to make is about when to move on. I feel that the Lord has said that, although the mission of YFC to take Good News to every young person in Britain is not yet fulfilled, my part as National Director is.

UK Society ‘condemns’ young people - Christian Charity sees great potential

New Drama team gets to ‘the crux’ of the matter

Youth for Christ has launched a fantastic new evangelistic media team called “Crux Theatre” based in Nuneaton and Hinckley. Through drama the team reach out to young people aged 11-16 and provide activities which engage, excite and provoke whilst meeting curriculum requirements for two Key Stages in four subjects. 

YFC Summer Programmes helping students

Youth for Christ's groundbreaking Extended Schools Resource, The Crux was used over the summer holidays in week-long programmes which helped young people develop new skills, raise their self-esteem and allowed students to enjoy and achieve (to use the ‘every child matters’ phrasing).  In July and August, YFC used the film and drama sessions from the Crux material to run courses for between 15 and 20 young people. 

Sports Ministry moving forward in leaps and bounds

One of Youth for Christ’s most popular, exciting and effective ministries – Sports evangelism, is growing.  New staff have been appointed and the Sports department have moved the ministry into new areas.  Using the most relevant, up-to-date sports, YFC teams tour the country; connect with Britain’s youth and take the good news to them.
