FORT ROCKY EXISTS FOR 3 REASONS

1. To give young people the best weekend of their year. Through the highest quality outdoor activities, interactive roadshow meetings and team building games, Fort Rocky aims to exhilarate, entertain and engage young people in life to the fullest.

2. To encourage significant relationships to begin and develop. Relationship is at the heart of youth ministry and by handling the complexities of a residential we aim to maximise the contact time you have with your group.

3. To facilitate every young person growing closer to God. No matter where your young people are at, Fort Rocky aims to see them take significant steps in their relationship with Jesus. We are passionate about seeing lost young people encounter something of God for perhaps the first time, those who aren’t sure to make a significant decision to follow Jesus and those who follow him already to be equipped and inspired to reach their mates.

Sport Rocky

Sport Rocky continues in 2008 with an added emphasis on sport, with professional standard coaching and competitions offered by YFC’s sports teams. On these weekends all the other activities function as normal – Sport is an additional feature.

Fort Rocky 15-19s

Due to overwhelming demand, Fort Rocky is getting older in 2008. This weekend only will be geared towards the older age group of 15-19s, with the same evangelistic heart and high quality of activities as Fort Rocky.

ACTIVITIES

EAT AND SLEEP

All 5 Fort Rocky sites are situated in spectacular countryside, with ensuite accommodation blocks sleeping 2-6 to a room. Each site has its own tuck shop and all dietary requirements can be catered for.

WHO IS FORT ROCKY FOR?

All young people aged between 11 and 15 and their leaders, in their youth groups as a special time away from home. Those older than 15 are also welcome, but may wish to take on more of a leadership role within the group.

HOW MUCH?

The cost is £99 per head or £95 per head if you are a Rock Solid or an RS2 group. This inc ludes all activities, food, accommodation and insurance.

FUNDING

We want everyone to be able to come to Fort Rocky, whatever your financial situation, so if cost is an issue for your group please give us a ring and we can chat about how to raise the extra cash you need for your weekend.

HOW DO I BOOK?

Simply call the office on 0121 502 9620 or email fortrocky@yfc.co.uk with a rough idea of the size of your group, your choice of weekend, and a contact number. We will then send you a booking form, which you will need to return within 2 weeks along with a deposit of £25 per person to secure your places. You will be invoiced with the outstanding balance of payment 6 weeks before the start of your weekend. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

2008

This season at Fort Rocky the theme will be Hope. In a world that is often bored and hopeless, Jesus promises hope, light and life. In a fun and relevant way the good news of Jesus and the hope he brings will be explored.

2008 will also see even more variety of activities and team games. With greater choice of things to do both indoors and outdoors we are excited that there will be more than enough for everyone to do.
