Family Fun Day
Imagine ice cream, sunshine, field sports, face painting and a coconut shy! Why not put on your own family fun day and donate the proceeds from a prize draw and other fun-day activities to YFC.
A Sponsored ‘Pike' (Picnic and Hike!)
Dust off your walking boots and spend an afternoon hiking through the countryside for YFC. Each walker, or family, could collect sponsorship and you could round off the afternoon with a church picnic and even a game of footie.
YFC-bay
Ask your congregation to make or donate things that can be auctioned off. You can auction anything from your time (e.g. the promise of one hour's gardening) to cakes, old ornaments, unwanted board games and undesirable CDs and videos!
Sports Day
Rally your local parish and ignite some community-spirit with an old-fashioned sports day. You could charge £1 to enter a football tournament, rounders knockout or beat the goalie. Why not find out whether there are any hidden sports stars hiding in your pews?
Fancy Dress Party
Pick a theme, ask for some snacks from your congregation and have a ball! The theme can be as vague as costumes relating to a letter of the alphabet, movie heroes, the funky 60's & 70's, an historic period, or a character from your favourite Biblical story. You could charge a small fee for tickets, hold a prize draw or stage an auction. The best costume could even win a prize!
