Expand the boundaries of your youth work by booking a YFC national evangelism team or national staff member.

Youth for Christ recognises the importance of day-to-day, relational youth work. But we also know that, occasionally, it helps to introduce something a little unique into your regular youth work programme.

YFC has a number of staff and mission teams who are available to come alongside the local church or YFC centre to provide a high profile focus for the work you are doing.

SPORTS

Sport has always been a regular activity for young people.  The sports teams within YFC aim to use their own passion for sport to connect with young people both in and out of the church.  The teams use their own sports skills to encourage the young people in their own abilities and encourage their self growth and confidence.

NAME: Nomad

WHAT WE DO

The Nomad team work both in schools and in community settings.  They set up their GIANT sports cage and run sports tournaments and events with the young people attracted by its presence.  The team are able to build a repertoire with those in and around the cage.  From this setting they are also able to share their testimonies or give short talks if it is appropriate.

HOW WE DO IT

SCHOOLS WORK - the team are able to teach curriculum sports lessons in P.E. (with and without the cage), to deliver exciting Assemblies, and give a Christian context to PSHE and R.E. lessons.

CHURCH WORK - the team are able to add a different direction to any regular youth group meetings, lead Bible studies or worship nights and give an interactive experience to any regular church activities.

EVENTS - during the week the Nomad team can run a sports tournament encouraging both participation for all levels and competition amongst those wanting to show their skills.  The team also run an interactive evangelistic presentation evening called Late Night Nomad - where they use interactive games, show entertaining video clips, hold fun competitions and have sports song competitions as well as present the Gospel in a relevant manner and challenge the young people on their own understanding of Christianity.

WHO WE ARE

Crux Media are a new and exciting team from Youth for Christ.  The Team of youthworkers is made up of three trained media practitioners, with a passion to use their love and understanding of media to connect with young people.

WHAT WE DO

Youth for Christ  and Crux Media have developed film school, a uniquely interactive educational activity primarily for students in years 9, 10 and 11.  Film school combines the practical and theoretical elments of film making whilst encouraging each student  to reflect on the story they are writing in their own lives.  As the week goes on each pupil will write a story of hope and use top of the range equipment to make a short film that will be edited and presented back to them.  Crux Media are also available to produce high quality promotional DVD's and distinctive films for your ministry.
