Youth Alpha
The Youth Alpha Course is designed for teenagers to find out about Jesus and how Christianity and real life fit together.
Adapted to be readily accessible, attractive and relevant for all 11-18 year olds, the 10-week Alpha course material has been adapted to help young people explore the truths of the Christian faith and question it for themselves through small groups.
Using one of the three Streams – Alpha Tech (DVD clip based), Alpha Active (Games and Activity based) or Alpha Lite (shorter sessions, ideal for School lunchtimes, CU’s etc) any course leader can use the content with maximum flexibility to suit the needs of their group.
The Leaders Guide and free CD-rom provide a whole section on course planning – from how to plan your dates, venue, food, team selection and how to incorporate aspects of prayer, fun, and worship etc. Helpful ideas for the planning of the Holy Spirit Day or Weekend Away are also provided along with many ideas of Ice-breakers, stories and discussion questions.
YFC and Youth Alpha work in partnership on this exciting resource. Many developments of the main resource, a NEW Youth Alpha Schools Resource and a National Holy Spirit Weekend in the Midlands are planned for 2006 and beyond.
